Frown lines, are the wrinkles that occur between your eyebrows. Though frown lines are most pronounced when someone creates the look of scowling, they can be caused by various facial expressions. Like most wrinkles, frown lines occur from repetitive facial expressions that cause creases in the skin. When we are young, these creases are only temporary and the skin bounces back as we move through expressions. As we age, the decrease in elastin and collagen reduces the ability of our skin to bounce back, resulting in permanent, more prominent wrinkles such as frown lines.
