We see a lot of people in our Wellness Center who want to know what the key to having clear, smooth and glowing skin. While we know it would be lovely if the answer was just one simple tool or trick, having great skin doesn’t come that easily to most. It’s a group effort really. You have to come up with a skin care regimen, then you have to follow through and do it again and again to keep the amazing results. We’re of course talking about the amount of water you are drinking throughout the day. Staying hydrated is a great way to achieve great skin that is blemish free.

Get A (Green) Tea Habit

This tea has anti-inflammatory properties which can counteract the color or puffiness you are used to experiencing. It is also thought that the EGCG in green tea could also prevent the formation of wrinkles. Skip that afternoon cup of coffee and have some tea instead.

Control Your Stress

Stress is your skin’s number one enemy. Just like it can affect the rest of your body, the hormone cortisol is released into the body. This leads to oiler skin and an inability to fight off acne-causing bacteria as well as you normally do. In order to prevent stress from staging an attack on your skin, practice some yoga, meditation or at the very least, just make sure you get some alone time throughout the day.

Pay Attention To Your Air

Pollutants in the air can play a huge role in what your skin looks and feels like. If you often find yourself in smoky environments, or in a city that is known for its dirty air, you might wanna counteract that as often as possible. We would suggest that you invest in a humidifier to at least have on in your bedroom while you sleep.
