CoolSculpting®

CoolSculpting is a revolutionary procedure that uses controlled cooling (also called Cryolipolysis) to target, freeze, and eliminate fat cells from your body. Because fat cells freeze at higher temperatures than surrounding tissues, CoolSculpting technology can effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the surrounding tissues untouched. CoolSculpting allows you to truly sculpt and target specific parts of the body – like the abdomen, love handles, inner thighs, outer thighs, double chin, arms, and more. Squeezable fat is freezable fat. After the procedure, your body continues to break down the treated (frozen) fat cells, leading to a natural cell death. As the fat cells die, they collapse, and the natural inflammatory process removes the dead cells through the lymphatic system over the next three weeks to three months. That leaves you with long-lasting results with no surgery, no needles, and no downtime.

Ideal CoolSculpting candidates have noticeable bulges of unwanted fat that is diet and exercise resistant. The CoolSculpting fat reduction procedure is specifically designed for those who are within 5 to 35 pounds of their ideal/target weight and are frustrated with stubborn fat and are looking to shed inches, not pounds.

CoolSculpting can help treat unwanted, stubborn fat in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: abdomen, love handles (flanks), inner & outer thighs, under the chin, upper arms, back fat, bra fat, knees, underneath the buttocks (also known as the banana roll), and more! CoolSculpting is a great, affordable option for those seeking help to reduce of stubborn fat without surgery or downtime. Each client is different in their personal fat reduction goals and needs. An in-person evaluation is needed to determine the full cost of “treatment to transformation” that our clients desire. CoolSculpting is usually less than half the cost of invasive fat removal treatments such as liposuction or surgery. Allura offers financing through CareCredit for our clients.

Allura offers DualSculpting, which means we have multiple CoolSculpting machines at both clinics to offer your treatments in half the total time or less. Each area treated typically takes about an hour and the number of areas you are treating will dictate the amount of time you are with us.

The applicator will be placed on the treatment area and there will be a slight sucking sensation as it adheres to your body, followed by that signature cooling effect. During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area becomes numb.

After the applicator is detached, your provider will do a brief massage on the area to break up the treated fat cells and enhance the fat reduction. That’s it!

The CoolSculpting procedure is completely non-surgical and non-invasive, which makes returning to normal activities afterwards a typically easy process. Often times, patients even return to work after their CoolSculpting treatment is over.

After treatment, most patients can return to their normal activities. However, the area that is treated will have some redness, swelling, soreness and firmness along with transient blanching and mild bruising. Some tingling and stinging will be present also. That numbness and tingling can last up to a month or sometimes longer. Your most dramatic results will be seen in three to four months. 

Once the treated fat cells are frozen, your body processes and eliminates them. Once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. While diet, exercise, and other “fat loss” procedures only shrink fat cells, CoolSculpting destroys the cells. Although CoolSculpting will assist in achieving your fat loss goals, we urge and encourage you to maintain proper diet and exercise routines before, during, and after your treatment to maximize your results.
