Turn Back the Clock With Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Skin and Hair Rejuvenation For A Younger Look

Have you been considering getting a cosmetic procedure to bring life back to your skin or restore hair loss? Look no further than Platelet Rich Plasma, aka PRP injectables. This treatment uses elements of your own blood to restore youthful skin under the eyes or stimulate hair growth on the scalp.

With PRP, we use plasma from your own blood that contains platelets and growth factors to trigger a regenerative process for skin and hair.. The perk – you don’t have to worry about any potential allergic reactions since we are using elements from your own body.

How Does PRP Work?

PRP injectables work by triggering the body’s natural regenerative processes and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin; producing long-term, beautiful results. PRP is attained by performing a simple blood draw at the time of your appointment, and then placing your blood in a centrifuge which extracts PRP from the rest of your blood. Once the PRP is extracted, it is injected either under the eyes or into the areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth. PRP treatments under the eye lead to stimulation and regeneration of your own collagen and regeneration of new, healthy skin tissue for gradual, natural results that improve in the 2-3 months following a single treatment. You’ll notice improvement in fine lines, texture, loose skin, loss of volume, and deep wrinkles.

  • 2-3 treatments, two to three months apart are recommended for most people for significant results.
  • Individual results will vary depending on your body’s response to the PRP induced collagen regeneration.
  • Final results seen 3-4 months after treatment.

PRP for Hair Restoration involves placing strategic injections of your own platelets into the areas of your scalp that need improvement. PRP is rich with essential nutrients and growth factors that increase blood supply to the follicle to stimulate new hair regrowth and decrease hair loss by prolonging the growing phase of the hair cycle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft.

  • Usually 3 treatments in a 4-6-week period with maintenance treatments every 4-6 months.
  • Injection schedule depends on the client’s genetics, pattern and amount of hair loss, age, and hormones.

Are There Any Adverse Effects?

One of the greatest things about PRP injectables is that the risk of adverse reactions is extremely minimal since we are using your body’s own plasma to rejuvenate your skin. Temporary side effects may include: redness, bruising at the injection site, and swelling. All of these side effects resolve themselves within a few days for most clients.

Do PRP Treatments Hurt?

Prior to injections, ice packs, and/or a numbing cream can be used to reduce any discomfort. You may feel a pinch or pressure at the injection site but pain is minimal and temporary.

Should I Consider An Alternative to PRP?

During your consultation, we will determine the best approach for your PRP treatment. PRP can be used in tandem with fillers to increase their effectiveness or with microneedling to provide overall rejuvenation of the skin. PRP is the only treatment we offer for hair restoration. We will discuss all options to determine which are best to achieve your skin goals.
