Side effects may include redness, swelling, tenderness, injection site pain, bruising, bleeding, itching, and lumps at the site of the injection. Clients are advised to apply an ice pack for a few minutes at a time for the first 24-48 hours to reduce inflammation and speed recovery. Light facial massage is also required twice daily for 10 days – two weeks post treatment to prevent the formation of nodules at the site of injection.
