Do you have sun damage on your face, neck, chest or hands? The FotoFacial™ treatment revitalizes your complexion and diminishes vascular and melanin pigmentation (reds and browns) by using IPL (intensed pulsed light). The treatment is non-invasive, with very minimal downtime.
With a FotoFacial™, you can diminish the redness from rosacea, improve the appearance of broken blood vessels, enlarged pores, sun damaged skin, and age spots. Most often, our providers recommend a series of 2-3 treatments to promote renewed skin health and a more even skin tone.
FotoFacial™ At A Glance
Our FotoFacial treatment is unique in that it uses two energies, an intense pulse light and radio frequency, to eliminate visible skin blemishes and promote collagen and elastin production thereby giving the skin a noticeably smoother appearance with fewer textural irregularities.
While there are not any known adverse effects, FotoFacial is not suitable for individuals who are pregnant, have connective tissue disease or autoimmune disorders, active melasma or cysts.
You may experience mild discomfort during your FotoFacial treatment. We administer a topical anesthetic cream to reduce, if not eliminate discomfort altogether. Once the numbing agent has been activated, a thin gel like layer is applied to the treatment area before placing the laser onto the skin to begin delivering pulses. Forced air, skin cooling is also introduced intermittently to provide an even greater degree of comfort. Following the treatment, the skin may be slightly red and feel like a mild sunburn. However, most resume their daily activities without any complications or downtime.
