botox, dysport, dermal filler, and laser treatments along with a good skincare regimen can help reduce wrinklesNo matter how much we try to avoid it, time catches up with us all. Even if you’ve done a good job of putting on sunscreen, wearing hats, and sticking to a very strict skincare regimen since you were a teenage girl, you may still be noticing some wrinkles creep into your appearance. It seems like one day they’re not there and the next, they’re everywhere! Sadly, this is just part of the reality we face as humans exposed to a harsh environment day after day. The good news is, you don’t just have to accept the wrinkles. At our locations in Fort Collins and Loveland, Allura offers a wide variety of wrinkle treatment options for women who just aren’t ready to surrender the fight. If you’re just starting to consider taking action to combat the signs of aging on your body, here are a few effective skin rejuvenation treatments you should know about.

Dysport® and Botox®

You may have heard tales about these wrinkle treatments, but how much do you know about how they really work? Dysport is formulated to remove those moderate to severe frown lines that may exists between your eyebrows. According to Drugs.com, “Dysport is an injection containing abobotulinumtoxinA (Botulinum toxin type A). AbobotulinumtoxinA is made from the bacteria that causes botulism. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity.” Botox is very similar to Dysport, and is administered via injection to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, smile lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows. Like Dysport, Botox is a botulinum toxin that’s used to paralyze the facial muscles, thus eliminating wrinkles.

Dermal Fillers

Allura offers a variety of dermal fillers, including Juvéderm XC®, Radiesse®, Restylane®, Voluma XC®. Most of these are gel-based wrinkle treatments that can help you look younger by adding volume to your skin. What many people don’t know about dermal fillers is that they also help your body produce more collagen naturally, a process that tends to slow down as we age. Another great thing about dermal fillers is that you don’t have to wait for results. With just a few minutes of receiving your injection, your face will look more radiant and less wrinkled. And these results will last up to one whole year!

Laser Skin Treatment

Another popular wrinkle treatment offered here at Allura is our full selection of laser skin remedies. These services include CO2 Dot Therapy, Fraxel Dual, Fotofacial RF, Thermage CPT, and Laser Veins. Although you may have been offered some of these services at your local day spa, the difference is that all of these treatments are administered by specially-trained nurses and physician assistants working under the watchful eye of a medical doctor. We can help you decide whether you only need one of these treatments, or whether a combination of treatment options can give you better results in a shorter period of time.

If you’re interested in wrinkle treatments but aren’t sure which of the above options is right for your needs, contact Allura for a free consultation today!
